STAY TUNED FOR RESCHEDULE INFORMATION. \nOur next concert\, Sing the Ages Long\, features both the Chamber and the Festival choirs as we explore how women and men have connected with God and each other through song from one generation to the next. Opening the concert will be the brilliant chorus\, Hallelujah\, from Beethoven’s only oratorio\, Christ on the Mount of Olives. From this lively jumping-off point\, we journey through traditional and contemporary works\, American folk\, spirituals\, and even bluegrass! We hope to connect with YOU at Bethany Lutheran Church\, 4500 East Hampden Avenue\, Cherry Hills\, CO\, on Friday\, May 1st at 7:30 pm. \nNote: There is no charge for this service. DESCRIPTION:THERE ARE NO MORE TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR THIS CONCERT \nFor more than a decade now\, the Canto Deo Festival Choir and Orchestra\, under the direction of Jonathan Brown\, has shared the rich tradition of sacred Christmas music with family and friends – kith and kin – throughout the greater Denver area. \nThis year’s program will feature works by J.S. Bach\, Mack Wilberg\, Barbara Bell\, John Rutter\, and others. As a special treat\, we will premiere a newly-commissioned piece; I Wonder as I Wander\, arranged by acclaimed composer John Paul Hayward. Hayward’s haunting orchestration of this earthy folk carol brings the mystery and wonder of the first Christmas to life. \nAnd don’t forget to warm up your singing voice!
