For more than a decade now, the Canto Deo Festival Choir and Orchestra, under the direction of Jonathan Brown, has shared the rich tradition of sacred Christmas music with family and friends – kith and kin – throughout the greater Denver area.
This year’s program will feature works by J.S. Bach, Mack Wilberg, Barbara Bell, John Rutter, and others. As a special treat, we will premiere a newly-commissioned piece; I Wonder as I Wander, arranged by acclaimed composer John Paul Hayward. Hayward’s haunting orchestration of this earthy folk carol brings the mystery and wonder of the first Christmas to life.
And don’t forget to warm up your singing voice! Sing along with us on familiar carols like O Come All Ye Faithful, Joy to the World! And Hark! The Herald Angels Sing!
